Kids Ministry FAQ’s

How do I get in touch with the Kids Team?
We’re planning our first visit! How do we register and check our kids in?

You can pre-register your family by clicking the button below. We also have a team to register you at arrival, if you prefer. You will use your phone number to check-in each visit. When you check your kids in you will get three stickers.  One is a name tag, one is for the classroom roster, and one is your claim ticket to pick up your child. Our Guest Experience team will make sure to guide you to your child’s class. We can’t wait to see you!

Who is on your Kids Team?
My kid is feeling under the weather, should I bring them to church?

Health and safety are important to us at HDC Kids. If are unsure if your child is well enough to attend church this weekend, please read over our Health and Wellness guidelines here. (link to health letter). If it’s the best choice to stay home, your child can still engage with our Bible lesson online. (link to Kids at Home video)

How do you process and screen your volunteers who serve with kids?

Safety is a top priority at HDC Kids. Volunteers must attend HDC consistently for 6 months before getting involved in Children’s Ministry. Each of our volunteers are processed by a ministry staff member.  This process includes two reference checks, an interview, a Live Scan background check, and training. We also have a policy in place that requires volunteers to never be alone with a child.

What can my child expect during a kid’s church service at HDC?

Once your child checks in, they can expect to have time for free play or activities. They will connect with their leader and group and spend time in age-appropriate worship and Bible teaching. Kids will also engage with their peers and have the opportunity to discuss and apply the Bible lesson through activities, crafts, and conversations.
