Our Purpose
HDC partners with several local ministries throughout our desert. This work helps our HDC attenders develop rapport, trust and an opportunity to share the gospel with our Oikos.
Our desire is to mobilize the gifts, abilities, and availability of people at High Desert Church to bring truth and compassion to our community and region. We help transform our desert by partnering with organizations in five local focus areas to serve our community. Family, Mercy, Education, Health and Community.
We support the following organizations through regular financial gifts, tangible gifts such as food and clothing drives, and volunteer opportunities.

Our team of staff and volunteers provides the care and support to women, and their families, in a time of uncertainty. We offer accurate information and emotional support. All of our services are free and confidential.
Host Baby Showers

Ruth and Naomi Project
Beyond Traditional Housing
We are a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing for senior women in need. Robin Smith, founder and executive director of the Ruth and Naomi Project Inc, along with her daughter, Tarrah Butorovich Plascencia, have established “ Golden-Girls-style” homes that offer comfortable and secure living options for women on a limited income. We also provide educational resources while enhancing the quality of life for seniors and the community in the High Desert. Through our collaborative efforts, we have expanded community programs, offering not only housing but also access to essential resources and a network of compassionate support for seniors.
Meal Prep
Do you love to cook or bake? Volunteer to provide a meal for the women at the Silverberry House or Rincon House, both located in Apple Valley. You can drop off food or stay to visit with the ladies. Come bake cookies with them or help with meal prep.
