Being a Mom of 4 kids, it was hard to get an evening with my husband to go Christmas shopping without the kids. And having 4 meant it cost quite a bit for a babysitter for an evening. When my girls got older, they offered to babysit at no charge for families to go shopping. It was something easy they could do to serve families, as families did for them growing up. You can add to this by giving the couple a gift card for coffee or a sweet treat on their outing.
